I bought a used 81 XS 850 special that had many issues including frozen carbs. I picked up a set from EBay that I cleaned up and installed. The bike fired up and was running fine but idling high at about 2000 RPM´s. So I tried to turn the idle down and the engine sped up to 6000 RPM´s regardless of which direction I turn the adjuster. Is something else causing this issue? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.
