XS Brake Caliper Adapters |

I have just finished up the first set of brake caliper adapters and could make them readily available if anyone is interested. I usually specialize in the Vmax model but have been fixing up an 80 XS850 for the future brother in law. The front calipers were bad (very nice pads and brand new seals kits though) so I made a set of adapters to use 4 piston vmax calipers (or you can even use early R1´s) to fit over the stock rotors. I will be finishing up and road testing the bike this weekend but have no idea how well the stock system worked to compare it too. I will be taking the adapters back off when winter sets in (or sooner if anyone is interested) and have them put into a cad file (along with other adapters I make). They will be lazer cut from then on. We can offer then in unfinished, powdercoated, or chromed. Price will be around $40 for unfinished. I may, if there is enough interest, make another set of adapters that would use FZR 600 rotors and 4 piston brakes. You want to talk about braking power! The rear may work with the 4 piston setup too but I haven´t looked at it yet since the current rear caliper is fine. Since I don´t normally lurk this board you will need to email me if there is any interest. one2dmax@aol.com We are also setting up a \ |
