Can someone help? I have a 1980 xs850 with factory fairing and side bags. I had a leaky petcock so I got a rebuild kit from a reputable bike shop and rebuilt both fuel petcocks. I assembled them absolutely correctly and referenced the old parts to make sure everything was correct. However, both petcocks just let the fuel pass right through. They overfill the bowls and I get a crankcase full of gasoline. I have rebuilt many engines and cars, and this problem is extremely frustrating. The rebuild kits are correct. Everything looks exactly right. Is there a trick to these I donĀ“t know about?? Any help would be appreciated. |
