replacing connecting rod bearings

I just put my 1981 xs 850 lh on the road and took it for a spin and it developed a rap in the lower end. I dissasembled the motor to find the number 2 piston connecting rod bearing was all but destroyed. The crank and the bearing housing is seemingly unaffected could use a little polishing. The book says to subtract the number from the crank that corresponds to the journal from the number on the rod (4-2=2) so I know that much. I measured the outer diameter of the journal 42.18 and the inside diameter of the bearing housing on the rod 45.70. The dealer needs a color code which I cannot determine. Can anyone help?
