With time corrosion forms at the electricals connectors. One good job to do but it works. It also could be the starter has worned out in time, or the carbs are dirty from ancestral gas in the tank. Mine started very well after spending 6 years in a small garage new gas, one good battery, choke and 5 kicks, serious 5 kicks and it ran truly well, no stalling Michel
