Hi,
I´m looking for the air filter cover and center screw for a 1978 Yamaha 750 XS. It sounds like you may have one. I don´t know what the letters after XS mean, in this case E, but the filter is about 7 x 3 inch oval shape and the filter housing has a notched end that connects with the main body of the carburator housing. If you have those 2 parts mentioned above (air filter housing and center screw), please let me know.
