I had a problem with a middle dripping carb way back in 2000 when I stripped the carbs and seemingly cured the problem. The bike started and sounded better on tick over. The next day I came to start it for work and it would not go....and hasn´t done since. It has been stood simce Sept 2000 but dry stored.I have put a new battery on it along with three new plugs. All I am getting now is a massive backfire and bang when I try to start her. The only work the previous owner did on the bike was to replace the cam chain. It was always fussy when starting from cold, never liking the choke but would go.It has been suggested that the valve timing might be out which may account for the re assembling of the cam chain being wrong. It has electirc ignition.I really miss the old horse and would love to see it running again, anyone any ideas PLEASE!!
