just picked up a 1977 yamaha 650 special for free.i was severcing an ac unit at a friends house and spotted it laying on it´s side across the yard.i asked about it and he told me i could have it.he had given it to several other people but they never came back for it.i guess they were too lazy to work a little getting it loaded.it had a flat on the front and locked up brakes on the front had to remove the caliper to get it to roll and had to push it 100 foot to get it where the trailer was but heck it was free and i had a helper so its mine now.his step son parked it there in 1978 gave the key to his mother and told her he was moving out of state and had no way to haul it so she could sell it but she never did.a year or so later the kick stand sunk and it fell over and layed there till i got it.ordered a service manual and asked 2 mechanics what to use to break the pistons loose.have a friend that is the best carberator mechanic in the area so i´m fairley confident it will be rode soon.
