Bulletproof. Rode mine for 85,000 miles. Never tore the engine down. Will shake your teeth out, crack your license plate in half. Special tail light bulb has middle post to keep filament from shaking apart. Standard 1157 tail lightbulb would last about 200 miles. Almost anything you would ever need to work on this bike is in the tool kit. 58 mpg on highway. Mirrors are blurry at speed. My mirrors would clear out at 70-72 mph in fifth gear. Alternator brushes were replaced every 12-20K miles. Big flywheels store a lot of energy, would eat up 750-4 Hondas from stoplight to stoplight. Tach up to 6-7K, drop clutch, smoke the tire. When the tire starts to grab and the front tire gets about 18" off the ground at about 7k, grab second and go way forward to hold her down. Best light to light racer I ever had. |
