I have the same bike and was also given it. I started with cleaning since it has been in storage for 20 yrs. Next i pulled the carbs and took them apart to clean out all varnish from the bowls and jets. You may be able to put them back together w/o new gaskets. Drained the tank and added a new fuel filter(This is a aftermarket part)changed the fuel lines. Changed the oil and added seafoam to tank and engine oil. Does your bike have electric start?
