I rode my ´81 XS400 to burning man this year and on the way back I cracked the exhaust into two pieces, completely unweldable. It happened right where the foot peg and rear brake are, just before the crossover bar that connects the two pipes is and it cracked in multiple places. Sure, it now sounds like a Harley at idle but I won´t ride it ´till it´s fixed.
I am not sure which aftermarket pipe to buy. I´d like to get the whole exhaust system replaced due to rust, but I also don´t have a lot of money right now. Does anyone have any suggestions?
