Carburetor problem? |

I just bought my Special cheap because the previous owner couldn´t get it to start this past summer. The first thing I found was two worn out gears in the starter. Rebuilt that and some other minor things plus repainted it and cleaned up the chrome. It is really a sharp machine! Both NGK plugs have gone out in the couple weeks I´ve run it in my yard. They appear to be new. I replaced them with Bosch platinum plugs, and the bike runs beautifully. However, I pulled one of the plugs after running the engine for a few minutes, and although it was firing fine, it was wet. Is this normal, or am I getting too much fuel? I´m thinking that maybe this is why the first 2 plugs fouled out. If this is not normal, is there an air/fuel adjustment on the carbs? Thanks |
