I purchased a 1981 Yamaha XS400 Heritage Special II this spring for $125. I spent another $250 on it and it was worth every penny. It´s a great beginners bike, not only due to it´s power and handling, but because it´s nice and simple to work on. The bike is nice and snappy around town, but you wouldn´t want to cruise at more than 70mph. It´s nice to look at, even better to ride, and sounds great when you´re on it. I´d appreciate any emails from other owners.
