I was given a 82 Yamaha 1100 to restore and the ignitor unit was missing. Apparently the owner had removed it to find a new one. I have searched for a few days on-line trying to find the part with no luck. Is there a way to use an earlier model part or upgrade to another type of system. I also haven´t been able to find a repair manual for this bike. Any thoughts?
