I have the same thought of sacrificing complex fashion for basic daily transport and touring capability - will be selling my 03 BMW R1150RS very soon and was looking for a honda ST1100 but now I realise the yamaha offers a package that I can maintain. I too would like to know what the XJ900 is like to live with
