i had my odometer go out on mine.. the speedometer worked just fine. it had about 45,000 miles on it. the speedo head itself was bad. very hard to find one but located one on a dealerships dusty shelf. i also put a new speedo cable in just cause i didn´t want it to go out later,, and i lubed it up with a lot of powder grafite.(sp?). bike´s still going w/52,000 miles.
