| I live in South Africa and being a sunny country owning a bike like the Yamaha XJ750 is pure pleasure. I have two identical Xj750´s both metallic red, both 1982 models and they are stunningly beautiful and in almost showroom quality and mechanically very sound. One has done 95 000 km, the other about 51 000 km. I bought these bikes for me and my son. Owning these beauties attract so much ooohhhs and aaaahs wherever we go. Yes they´re old bikes but take one on the open road and you will know that these are good bikes! They handle like a baby, steady and quite fast enough for the not so wild biker. I mean, do you really want to tour around at more than 200 km/h?. Our general speed is around 100-120 km/h, quite fast enough, thank you. I am 50, my son is 18 and we both enjoy the upright position when driving. Hey, if I had to lie forward on the tank for 400 miles I will stay in that position for the rest of my life.
