charging system problem ´82 SECA 750 |

Warm dry weather finally arrives, the bike is back together (new paint job)and on my first run a warning light indicates a battery problem. The battery was stored indoors and charged every two to three weeks and the bike starts with no hesitation. I do not believe it is the battery. The ease of starting seems to eliminate the ignition question, so I am left with the charging system. The bike will seem to choke out when I am riding and then once I stop and restart runs fine for a while. I am not a mechanic and am looking for ideas that may explain the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks |
