TO BECKERMOW AND DENNIS: Thanks, my friends, for the very well-explained advice. I will begin repairs at once. However, if it´s not too much trouble to answer (and I guess this question is obvious), please tell me if the stalling when I put the m/c in gear is most likely a result of of this malfunction, especially since it runs so well in neutral. Thanks, Mark L.
