I just bought an 83´ Midnight Maxim, and it appears to be in pretty good condition with almost 30,000 miles on it. It does however make a strange whirring noise at lower speeds. When I take off it starts, and gets louder and faster till i reach about 40-45 mph. at that point the noise stops. I am suspecting the speedometer cable at is is coming from the front end, and sounds like it is in the dash, but I was just hoping I could get a second opinion from someone with experience. Also, if there is anything I should know about the bike good or bad please feel free to let me know. Thank you guys! i am excited to have one of these bikes.
