I saw a Yamaha XJ650, 1982 bike for sale. However, the owner said the bike was running about a year ago and it now is not running because #3 cylinder was not running. What kind of possible problem(s) are involved. As a shade tree mechanic for auto´s, could it be: 1. blown head gasket? 2. carburetor problem? 3. piston ring or related piston problem? 4. spark plug?

please let me know if someone can help, considering purchasing this bike.
