Hi. I am new here. A forum virgin!!
I am a teacher, 44 years old who loved and rode bikes for years through school, college and travelling. Then I got middle-aged and married with a family (whom I adore) and wanted to hop on again. First looked at a CX500 in a barn. I used to dispatch Part time on one in London during University days. Ugly but so comfy and that lovely engine is unmistakable coming down the road towards you. Great lights too. Anyway, the CX was ok, a bit rough but the guy was greedy, so no go there. Next up was an Ebay XJ600 f . I liked the bikes when they were in their heyday so I bought it. Bid, thinking I wouldn´t get it. Won and then had to pick the moment to tell the wife. All done now. Got her home and pleased. a couple of fins cracked off in parts on the head, but thinking how to repair them. Anyway, I now have a bike which is insured, taxed and due for MOT on Tuesday, and the bugger won´t start. %&#!¤ in yer hat and punch it!
