I have had the same xj650 for 21 years here in the UK. V reliable but when carb rubbers started splitting and this appeared to coincide with a throttle delay/hesitation at 300rpm, I decided to do more. Carbs cleaned, slides reconditioned, fuel pipe, filter, plugs, battery and sadly NO improvement! so am interested to hear how torontoite got on 2 years ago.
