| you said you live in rome... the t-max is a pretty heavy and large scooter... the x-city is a VERY good compromise on city driving and autobahn/autostrada/highway driving... i live in germany and even with autobahn stretches with no speed limit cars zooming by @ 200km/h i don;t feel uncomfortable, my x-city, no modifications, runs 130-140km/h on straights, 120-130km/h uphill and 150km/h on downhill autobahn stretches... @ 150km/h it still feels solid, but not as solid as a big bike with larger wheels... the t-max has smaller wheels ( i think), thus making the x-city 250 the better choice for faster hwys.... as for the city, it is still narrow enough to pass to the line @ intersections. it´s easy to park. if you have more than a laptop to carry you need the top-case (46 liters)! and the trunk under the bench only fits a small hemlet, not a full size helmet, that has to be stored in the top=case, or you take it with you... the x-max 250 has much more space under the bench, enough to fit 2 full size helmets, but it has the smaller scooter wheels making it less comfortable/safe @ higher speeds... i would recommend the x-city for what you need, test drive it @ your local yamaha dealer, it´s the fastest 250cc scooter for sale right now;) the t-max i recommend for drivers that do mainly highway @ moderate speeds and a little city driving, the x-max for large cities with some freeway driving, the larger trunk makes it the ideal city vehicle... the x-city is the perfect commute scooter for people that use freeways on a regular basis, the windshield protects drivers up to 1,80m, above that you need to get a full size helmet since the wind will hit you... cruising along @ 130km/h is very comfortable, and side winds are not a big problem, even bigger potholes and difficult road condition are o.k. with the x-city 250, you only need to watch out for rutted roads/freeways, those are, as for all 2 wheelers, very tricky! |
