Good 1st Bike??

Hi guy´s. I´m looking at purchasing the 450 in the spring. I know it´s my first dirt bike, I´ve owned a cbr 900 prior. I rode my buddies 04´ wr450 and loved it, felt comfortable on it aswell. Some people are telling me I would be crazy having the 450 as a first, and that I should go for the wr 250, "it has more then enough power." I feel I would enjoy it for a while, but probably get tired of the lack of grunt I would be receiving from the big brother bike. Any suggestions form people who have ridden both bikes. I´m almost set on the 450, just to let you know. I live in B.C. within an hour from Chilliwack and Hope. Great riding!!
