Hey all,
I just bought a 2004 WR450 2-Trac in Canada, but it has no Title & the VIN# YACJ04W000011111 comes up as invalid. I am in the U.S., so I have to import it from Canada to the U.S. & I need all the help (advice) I can get. Customs says I need a non-salvage Title a Bill of Sale & either a sticker or a letter from Yamaha stating it meets U.S. specs. This can´t be impossible; I picked it up for just under 3-k U.S., so it´s worth the hassle I think. Yamaha says that Vin # is invalid they have been very friendly. They are going to have their legal department look into it. I think it came from Europe to Canada without papers. I´m 54, and this bike will be perfect for getting me back on the trail I haven´t been out in 20 yrs. Thanks for any help.
