Sounds a little nicer, but it doesn´t make it go any faster, because it lessens the pressure. I did mine, If ou are under warranty they try and give you %&#!¤ about it, although remove that third baffle doesnt cause anything, I had a LOT of troubles with my yamaha before the baffle was removed, i finally canned the bike, but good luck
