Peter, I´m not sure what size my husband used. You mentioned that you had the same problem. Our original problem was that we didn´t know where the plug was to drain the oil. Once that was sorted out he grabbed a handful of spanners, maybe he used a ring spanner instead of an open ender. Sorry I can´t be of more help. Perhaps you could contact me privately.... I´m probably not explaining myself very well.
