The only time I came close to getting a ticket was on my 250 Virago. I was doing 75 when I passed a state patrol going the other way. At the time I weighed 230 and it didn´t skip a beat getting to highway speed. But... the vibrations through the handlebars makes my hands go numb after about 45 minutes of riding. After learning that I tended to use it for short term trips and the longer stuff is for my bigger bike.
