I weigh more than that and I can get it up to at least 50 mph. I mostly ride roads that are 40-45 and it scoots along just fine. It handles beautifully and I am not that experienced a rider. I guess you know all this by now since you posted in 2004. Hope you are enjoying yours as much as I am mine.
