In California you do need a motorcycle drivers license to ride anything with a motor on it. I can ride all over my city on the surface streets without going over 45 mph. It´s great for the summer with the gas prices being so high here. These cycles are very hard to get. They only make so many each year and I was put on a waiting list last year before they received their shipment. I also had to make a deposit to hold it until I got there. In my city, they only received one at the dealership so I went to another city and got the one I wanted (a beautiful blue). You should check with your dealer in your area and also in other areas to see when they will get theirs. They are snatched up VERY QUICKLY mainly because they do go faster than 25 mph, which is about what the Vino 50cc does.
