I was wondering if anyone had heard of rear end final drive failure on v-star 650´s. My friend Mel had an 05 650 v-star with 52000.kms had just blown her 5th final drive. She loves the bike but can´t trust it anymore. Averages 10,00kms/6000miles and blows the rear drive out of it. Yamaha had replaced the drive twice she put out for the other 2 times but now she has a bike she can´t get much for on trade as everyone knows it as issues. And she feels bad if she sells it privatly and it goes again, At odds is where she is Thanks
