2006 Vstar 650 tries to start but won´t kick over

Had to replace 2 bad fuses, placed bike on charge. The bike tries will turn but will not kick over and start, very frustrated any one have any suggestions? Sorry forgot to mention it has been sitting a few months since I cranked it over and ran it for a few.
