Converting to a standard, Can it be done? |

The bike I currently have for general use is a Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic. In simple terms, what I do not like about it is the cruiser riding position. As far as I can determine, this bike is based on the Yamaha Virago chassis. The Virago was a standard. Is there any way to put foot pegs (note: I did not say floorboards) under the rider. This would also involve moving the brake and the shifter back about a foot. I like the general look of the bike; but, I hate the riding position. The project should also involve a narrower rear rim; but, that is the easy part. |
