I have a 2011 Vstar 650 custom. I removed the front foot pegs, used some rigid conduit pipe that I mounted in the same position as the foot peg, attaching a portion of a foot rest from a wheel chair as the floor board. Did not reposition the gear shift lever or the brake pedal and is working out really well. Right or wrong, floor boards can be positioned without change to foot levers.
