Suggestions about improving suspension |

Hi, I have the 09 950 V-star and it´s my second bike in the last couple of months. I am a new rider (3-months) with a bad back (had spine surgery last year). I love the Yamaha because it´s light and easy to maneuver but the potholes in the Minnesota roads here are killing my back. So, I´d like to improve the bike with a great new seat and new shock absorbers. I´ve read about several brands of absorbers and it seems the Progressive 420?? offers the best ride and the cost is something I can handle. However, I´m not sure yet if any absorber will fit the bike. Any feedback or insights about what to do? I´m not experienced or mechanical so appreciate any input. My #1 goal with the bike is to have a very smooth, comfortable ride and to avoid hearing my surgeon tell me to stay off the bike because it´s compressing my spine. :) Thanks, Tom |
