Gus, The V-Star 1300 was my choice after not owning a motorcycle in 25 years. I would suggest an Motorcycle Safety Course prior to your purchase. I did it afterward and my bike sat in the garage for a while waiting for me to be licensed. I love my 1300 Touring bike. I did have to modify it and I would suggest that you talk to the dealer about upgrading the handlebars to RSTD bars, he will know what this means. I am 6´ 275 and the reach forward made my hands go numb and my back ache, the Royal Star Touring Deluxe handlebars fixed that. Is it worth the money, well for not that much more (roughly $900) I got a bike that was Fuel Injected, Liquid Cooled, Belt driven, and so well balanced that a guy that hadn´t ridden in 25 years could learn to ride it fairly well in a couple of months. Just my $.02 |
