I have not tried the goo gone on either. I have a bottle of it but have been too timid to try it on the shield or the tank. The dealership does not reccomend it nor will they reccomend anything else. If anyone is brave enough to try it, sure would be great to share the wealth. Now why in the world would they put that one sticker on the gas tank????
