Al, oil changes are easy, but I bought the Jardine Oil Filter Relocation Kit first. To change the OEM filter, you have to loosen (or remove) the right floorboard and loosen (or remove) the front cylinder exhaust header. Yeah, sounds like fun, right? The Jardine Oil Filter Relocation Kit SHOULD have been a factory design instead of an aftermarket afterthought... With the kit installed, a better filter is situated in a better location, allowing a 15 minute oil change instead of a 1 - 2 hour expletive-garnished activity. Furthermore, when an oil change is needed... I do it. If I had to change the OEM filter, I´d keep putting it off, which wouldn´t help the engine any. |
