I can understand the 1st 600-mile oil change. With a new engine, things are wearing into place and you want to get rid of those contaminants from the oil. But the shaft change has me slightly concerned... You might want to read the following about drive shaft lubrication (or the lack thereof). It appeared in the June 2004 issue of the International Star Riders Association publication on-line:
