Handle Bar Change

I have just purchased a low mileage ´96 Road King and am thinking about changing the bars to either the Heritage or Wide Glide bars. I am leaned a little to far forward with the stock bars and find it to much of a stretch. Has anyone done this? Will I have to add to the wiring harness? Etc. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
