The TRX is one of those bikes that defies the laws of logic. It´s Japanese ,modern, yet classic , a blatant mimic (900ss Ducati),yet very much an individual . On paper it looks mediocre , on the road, it shines. Collectively , this bike delivers . Yes ,I own a hyper bike (Modded K2 GSXR 1000), but the Trixie somehow outshines it. Sure , it won´t accelerate at a blistering pace, but when the TRX opens its throat ,it sings like no other .It like to be ridden with ´purpose´, that uphoric zone. I keep thinking it would be similar to a Guzzi 850T3 or the BMW 900S, other bikes that are very individual and is hard to classify . One things for certain , it won´t disappoint . A few mods to suit your character and riding style and you´ll be hooked . Which bike am I modifying first ? The TRX . Which bike am I taking to the track (for the first time) . The Trixie . Why ? It´s just so managabe , enjoyable , and confidence inspiring. As you can see from this site , the TRX still rates highly despite being now 15 yrs old . What sold me on it was when a gentleman who claimed to of owned more than 40 bikes in his lifetime, (of all sorts ) rated the TRX as the best ride he´s experienced . He isn´t wrong overall. It´s a bike you can afford to buy and keep . It´s a bike that will be used where you are most likley to ride; Sunday morning on those glorious mountain back roads , then ride to work on monday . The only thing it´s not good at is massaging your ego , but that´s only because the other bikers don´t know what their missing out on. It´s your backup bike that rates very close your first choice mount. It´s that sort of bike that will make you look better than you really are. If you can imagine a race bike built to be ridden in one of those 24hr races , the TRX would be one of those bikes that would be chosen , as would the Beemer 900, Laverda 750SFC or the Guzzi 850T . Is that the description ; An endurance sports bike ? The Trixies a keeper for me . |
