TRX rich mixture and misfiring at low revs |

Hi, I am new to this kind of thing but I am struggling. I have owned over 200 bikes, mostly old nails and I have a mechanical and electrical background. However, my TRX has me stumped. Both cylinders are running rich to such an extent that the bike is very lumpy to ride at low revs. I have changed the air filter, replaced the plugs, checked that the choke is not sticking, replaced the complete choke assemblies, cleaned the carbs several times, checked the diapragms that enrich the mixture on the over run, rplaced the o rings that seal the main jets and I even did the valve clearances to give me some time to ponder on the problem. I do not think that it is electrical and a misfire is causing the plugs to foul as it clears for a few miles when new plugs are fitted and the problem disappears as the revs rise. The bike ran perfectly if a little rich for 10,000 miles before this. I suspect that the bike has been dynojetted. I really like the bike but I am running out of ideas, can anyone suggest something that I may have over looked? Regards Mark. |
