Hi I have just bought myself an almost new 2007 T-Max (2207 kms on clock) having owned a 2001 model for the past 6 years. The old model was fine but at 15,000 miles it needed a chain tensioner replaced - no big deal. Only other replacement was the battery after 7 years ! The 2007 model is quite an improvement - the fuel injection improves fuel consumption by 20% plus but the brakes with ABS are in a different league. The 2001 model was OK but did not inspire confidence whereas my 2007 is glued to the road with much lighter pressure on levers needed - it almost digs in. The standard screen on the 2007 caused much loud buffetting of my helmet - I changed it for the old T-max 500 one at some expense and quiet is restored. All in all, it is a great scooter - I use mine solely for leasure being retired for some years and it proves the old saying \ |
