My TMax is a red/black one latest spec with hazard flashers, why don´t they list red as a colour option when it´s obviously available? perhaps they over stocked on the other colours. Mine, bought second hand, had 600 miles on the clock and my first ride was 129 miles from near Lincoln back to Worcester, fantastic after my Majesty 250! I am a 62 yer old who should have more sense according to my wife but retirement was a month away in March when I bought it and what a good idea it turned out to be with the weather we have had this summer. I have done 2000 miles since and it just gets better and with mid Wales half an hour away the handling is very much appreciated. I have ridden Silver Wing and Burgman 650 both are superb but the TMax is more comfortable and feels safer. The automatic transmission is the best I have found with a very smooth and positive takeup and although it feels as if it should be in a higher gear at 30 mph you soon forget about and just revel in the smooth power particularly when overtaking, also the engine braking is uncanny on steep hills. As Mick Clayton says the fuel capacity is abysmal for a machine with this touring capability, in rural areas the most worrying thing is finding fuel which means you tend to fill up more often than necessary just to be safe, I wouldn´t like to push it far!. The other gripe concerns the wind noise, does anyone know of a better screen? Lastly, I have only ever seen 2 others on the road since they came out, where are they all? |
