Hi George,

I have a similar problem on my 1992 TDM - it does not charge enough. After you check the battery (charge it up and see if it does hold a charge over 12.5V), the most likely part is the Voltage Regulator. I just changed mine and it charges, but not at 14V (start it up, get it to 5000rpm and see if the voltage is about 14V. Hope mine is fixed, but will know soon.
