oil changes are easy once you have done one.Other maintenance depends on how much you know about bikes?As to your hight. this is a large heavey bike, but handles like a dream. All you need do is adjust a few things and it should fit fine. One of the best bikes I have ridden sence my first 1967 BSA Lighting
