| I need help with my 2006 Stratoliner.. 40,000 miles plus a few. Problem started about a year ago and is getting worse. The darn thing doesn’t do the high idle when hot like it used to. Until a year ago if you went for a ride and stopped for lunch when you restarted the Bike, even though it was hot, would go to a high idle mode and probably some other computer things to make it run with out stalling. Maybe richer for a while. Once it doesn’t start a time or 2 then it runs but acts like the Accelerator pump in a carbureted car would act if it wasn’t working. Pumping the throttle makes you think it’s helping but there isn’t an accelerator pump in a throttle body. But there must be some enrichment program that isn’t working on my engine. You know they have hoses gadgets an wires solenoids hanging all overt he place so los of luck. I have run the on board Diagnostic program and it says nothing is wrong. Yamaha won’t help at all. They say take it to a dealer. A dealer won’t have clue what to do either, just change lots of components and charge the hell out of me. And maybe they can’t fix it either.
