pretty sure its your clutch basket,look into it further, there was a recall under warranty on the 1300. My 05 makes the same nasty noise and Im almost afraid to find out the cost of changing to an I basket especialy since there are no guarantees, I have heard of it reducing the noise by 80%, good luck, let me know what you learn.
