Japanese bikes...all Japanese bikes...are basically "bulletproof". That is the one thing that some riders donĀ“t like about them! Your brake squeak problem is due to hard discs, which give you good braking and last longer. The front brake is squeaking because you are most likely squeezing your front brake in traffic subconciously more than you might realize. Just get going up to around 45 or 50mph...and jab the brakes instead of squeezing. One,two,three four,five etc. until you stop. It will "rough up" the pads, and deglaze your pad surfaces and rotor surfaces. Your squeek should be gone. Do that whenever you get a squeak, and try to conciously stop your bike using more of a rapid fire technique on the brake lever as opposed to simply gently pulling in on it and holding it.
